I studied journalism and English at the University of Colorado and successfully adapted my skills to work in marketing, promotions, public relations and social media. Over the years, I’ve worked in the entertainment, building products, consumer products, career development and wellness industries.
In the past year and a half, I’ve helped build and execute the social media strategy for a national yoga brand, successfully reaching 15,000+ students by providing an accessible, consistent voice to a misunderstood practice. I’ve strategized and managed online communities for two first-year yoga festivals, growing one community by 800% in three months. Both festivals exceeded ticket sales goals while relying almost exclusively on social media to market their respective events. I’ve also coached and trained individuals in launching and building their brands through social media.
I help small-mid-sized businesses connect with their customers online to build brand evangelism, increase leads through word of mouth and ultimately increase sales! Everyone loves a good story.
When I’m not staring at a computer screen Facebooking, pinning, tweeting blogging, writing, creating or imagining, you’ll find me on my yoga mat or spending time with the people that I care about. Oh, and I LOVE CUPCAKES. Seriously, it’s a problem.
